Why Use Registry Collector
If you are one of the tens of thousands of coin collectors participating and competing
in building a collection of United States or World Coins using the PCGS Set RegistrySM
program and eBay® to purchase your coins,
you will want to use the Registry CollectorSM
service.
Searching through thousands of auction postings for the coins you need to fill in
gaps on your collection can be very time consuming and very manually intensive.
Imagine having to search online auction postings on a daily basis searching for
such coins.
Registry Collector automates this process for you. Not only do we automatically
find eBay® auctions of the coins you need
to fill in your collection, but we also will send out a daily email notification
summarizing newly added auctions that match. We do all the work for you so you can
spend more time enjoying your collection and less time searching through coins that
bare no interest to you.
How It Works
There is no software to download, and everything you do is done securely over the
Internet. The Registry Collector is currently supporting PCGS-graded coins and the
PCGS Set RegistrySM, so you will need a PCGS Set
RegistrySM membership if you intend on signing
up for the Registry Collector Service.
Registry Collector automatically searches for the coins you need to fill your collection.
We look for coins that fill gaps in your collection through sophisticated matching
& linking logic that reliably finds only the coins you need. We are powered by an
eBay certified application which finds only those certified coins with valid certification
numbers matching them with the coins you need. We will also automatically notify
you when we find new auctions for the coins you need. You choose the coins & sets
you want Registry Collector to search for. To do this you must visit one of your
PCGS Set Registry and use the
Set Registry built in secure & confidential export function.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I know you are not a phishing site?
A: RegistryCollector.com is a service owned by Quantify Corporation, a legally filed
corporation in the State of New Jersey. We have also appeared in CoinWorld magazine
Amos Publishing, the parent company of CoinWorld does background checks on all
advertisers. You can view the announcement
here
as well as the advertisement here.
Q: Is the information I provide secure?
A: All information you provide to RegistryCollector.com is securely stored. Passwords
are encrypted and information is not shared with any other parter. Privacy is very
important to us and we make every effort to protect yours. For more information
please read the
Privacy Page.
Q: What is an eBay Token & why do I need to enable it?
A: Some functionality we provide requires communication with eBay's. eBay has set up
a partner program to enable third party service providers to create extensions to
eBay's functionality. RegistryCollector.com is one such extension. In order for our
service to work on your behalf within eBay, you must authorize eBay to grant a secure
token to RegistryCollector.com. Token's expire every 30 months and no account
information is shared between eBay & RegistryCollector.com. These tokens are
encrypted and secure means for systems to talk to each other.
Q: What is my login id?
A: Your email address is used as your login id.
Q: I provided my PCGS Member ID but I can not find my PCGS Sets? Shouldn't they
automatically appear in my collection screen?
A: Our direct integration with PCGS is pending. We collect this information now to avoid
sending notification back to members to add additional account information. In the
meantime, visit your Sets at the PCGS Set Registry site & export a set to a CSV file
to upload into your RegistryCollector.com collection. We'll start looking for the
coins you need.
Q: When I upload a set I do not see the coins I already own just the ones I am missing. Why?
What if I want to upgrade an existing coin in my collection?
A: We only look for the coins you are missing to complete your set. We plan to add an
"upgrade existing coin" feature in the future.
Q: I uploaded a set and nothing appears in my collection page for that set. What happened?
A: Occasionally we are not able to reconcile the items you need to complete your collection
with the various coins that can fill those gaps. In these situations a notification is
sent to our support team who will correct this problem.
To date we have
